Octostar at SPIK 2026 — Schweizer Polizei Informatik Kongress

On March 16–17, the Octostar team attended the 18th edition of SPIK, the Swiss Police Informatics Congress, held at the new BERNEXPO Festhalle in Bern.

SPIK is one of Europe's most focused events for police IT — around 1,350 participants from Swiss law enforcement, government, and industry gathering to discuss everything from operational communications and cybercrime to the next generation of investigative technology. No fluff, no hype — just practitioners and the people building tools for them.

For us, SPIK was a chance to connect directly with the officers, analysts, and IT leaders who work in exactly the kind of environments Octostar is built for: sovereign, on-premise, and security-first. The conversations confirmed what we're hearing across Europe — there is real and growing demand for AI-powered investigative capabilities that can operate within an agency's own infrastructure, without cloud dependencies or data sovereignty trade-offs.

We're grateful to the SPIK organisers and everyone who stopped by for a conversation. Switzerland continues to be one of the most thoughtful markets in Europe when it comes to balancing innovation with security — and we look forward to being back.
